Nowhere Ride

June 1st, 2003

Today I just wanted to ride somewhere that was nowhere in particular.  I didn’t want to have to be anywhere by any time, so I met up with the few who wanted to go to the same place. We had breakfast at Denny’s in Whittier, where I realized I had forgotten my phone that I had told you all to call me on if you had any questions. One rider did and called and of course I didn’t have my phone. To that one rider, I apologize sincerely and I vow not to do that again. The rest of us headed up through Turnbul Canyon and Hacienda Heights, then down through Lahabra Heights and Brea before heading up through Brea Canyon Diamond Bar and Chino Hills before heading back through Carbon Canyon. After the short but scenic ride, we stopped for Ice Cream before splitting up. We also bumped into the Drummer from West Nile and his family while we were there. This was one of those rides like I remember when no one worries about anything except having a good ride on a beautiful day. If you weren’t there, you missed a good one. Well there will be many more so, I’ll see you on the byways…….
