It’s time to break in the NEW YEAR! We had a longer break than usual for this club and it’s time to get back to the roads. 10 of us showed up for the ride and I can tell you that anyone that missed it missed a great ride. The weather was great. Not too hot and not too cold. The sky was so clear that we could see all the way to Catalina. I’ve been on this ride several times, but this was one of the clearest days I have ever seen. Six of us left my place around 10 am picked up 3 more riders at Denny’s. We just missed one rider at Kevin’s place when we headed for the lunch at the Big Wok Mongolian BBQ. I filled my plate a little too full, but I couldn’t help eating it anyway. The food was delicious. We rode down the PCH for a while and then across the peninsula on Narbonne for one of the best views of the Long Beach Harbor as well as the ocean overlooking Palos Verdes Drive. We made a stop at Palos Verdes Point to admire the view, of the ocean too, and then ended the ride at a small shopping center just past the fire station. After a coffee break and some local conversation, we split up for the ride home. For a medium length ride guys, I recommend this one. Let’s get out there this year and ride…………..
