It was just too beautiful to stay home. I wanted to hit the road. How about a canyon ride in reverse? That seemed like a good idea. We met at 8:00 am for breakfast at Cooks Corner; I heard they serve a dynamite breakfast there although I had never tried it. I have to revise my estimate a little now that I have. The breakfast was tolerable. The bacon, hash, sausage, and eggs were good, but the hash browns leave a little to be desired. We left there at 9:25 am and road out through Live Oak Canyon. After riding though RSM, we rode over the Ortega Canyon road to Lake Ellsinore stopping briefly at Look Out point. After a short stop in Elsinore for gas, we headed up through Temescal Canyon to Tom's Farm. This is always a good place for a short break and some ice cream. Then we jumped on the Fwy for a few miles to put us out in Chino Hills were we turned southwest to ride down through Carbon Canyon. We followed up through Brea Canyon, Brea, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights, La Habra Heights, and Hacienda Heights. We then took the always-popular Turnbull Canyon Road. This put us in Whittier for a nice lunch at the Rocky Cola Café. After lunch we split up as we headed home from another great riding day in Southern California.
