Surprise Ride

March 2, 2003

Today’s ride was given on very short notice. The reason was because it was supposed to be cold, cloudy, and rainy.  As it turned out to be in the low 70’s and sunny, SURPRISE we’re riding.  We had breakfast at The Waterfront Restaurant. Good food and good company is a real hard combo to beat. The problem is that we always start late. But hey, that’s why we ride together. We left a little after 9 am and headed north. We made a large right hand circle through Fullerton, Whittier, La Habra Heights, Hacienda Heights, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, and Brea. We saw some beautiful scenery, houses and weather. We stopped in Downtown Brea for some ice cream and conversation before heading home. For a supposed to be bad day, it turned out to be another fantastic day in the Southland. For those of you that missed the ride because I got out the message late, I’m sorry to be so slow. Fro those of you that had other reasons, you missed a great one.  I will try to get next weekend’s ride up a little earlier, and if we get bad weather, then we’ll postpone.  Till next time, I’ll see you on the byways…
