Invite 2007               

             Honda Hoot                      

This year we are headed to the Hoot. More than once we have considered trying to make this rally as we have crossed this great country of ours, but we just never seemed to be in the area at the right time. This time we are going to make the Hoot the trip. I have heard this called the Sturgis for Honda riders, and I have heard it called the amusement park where you bring the rides. I have also heard that there are some of the best rides in the world on this trip. I guess we'll find out. On the way there we are planning to check out a place called "Land Between the Lakes". I understand that this is one of those places that got over-populated as the settlers moved in during the 1800's after the Cumberland Gap was discovered. They pretty much destroyed the original habitat, and it later had to be burned to bring back the original grasslands that were there. Now there are supposed to be many wildlife species there as well that are native. For a history buff this could be a great place to see. For me, well I'd just like to check it out. We'll only be visiting 3 or 4 states this trip, but Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arkansas have some great history and some great roads to ride. So for those of you in the cities that don't get much of a chance to see the countryside much, sit back and enjoy the ride. I'll do my best to show it to you.
